When coffee is your love language…

To bring together star-crossed lovers (or just BFFs!) on Valentine’s Day, Starbucks created a delicious limited-edition Frappachino and hot chocolate, available for one day only in select stores across the UK. To really sweeten the deal, I was brought in to write three heartfelt Valentine’s Day poems that would appeal not only to lovers, but to friends, family, colleagues, situationships and…well you get the idea!

But the real challenge was the fact that each poem would be handwritten, in-store, by a professional illustrator. So, the poems had to be snappy, easy to handwrite and, importantly, short enough to fit on a Starbucks cup. The result were three creative poems that got happy Starbucks customers snapping selfies to upload to the ‘gram.
